 preach

Judg 7:2-7
2   And the LORD said to Gideon, "The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, 'My own hand has saved me.'
3   "Now therefore, proclaim in the hearing of the people, saying, 'Whoever is fearful and afraid, let him turn and depart at once from Mount Gilead.'" And twenty-two thousand of the people returned, and ten thousand remained.
4   But the LORD said to Gideon, "The people are still too many; bring them down to the water, and I will test them for you there. Then it will be, that of whom I say to you, 'This one shall go with you,' the same shall go with you; and of whomever I say to you, 'This one shall not go with you,' the same shall not go."
5   So he brought the people down to the water. And the LORD said to Gideon, "Everyone who laps from the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, you shall set apart by himself; likewise everyone who gets down on his knees to drink."
6   And the number of those who lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, was three hundred men; but all the rest of the people got down on their knees to drink water.
7   Then the LORD said to Gideon, "By the three hundred men who lapped I will save you, and deliver the Midianites into your hand. Let all the other people go, every man to his place."
(NKJ)

Out of 32,000 professing Christians only 10,000 are born again and only 300 read the word (putting their hand to their mouth,)
:'( ONLY 1% that is why we are where we are at in this time.

hmmmm. an interesting thought you have (((ST)))!

If he is not The false prophet he certainly has many characteristics and follows the lead. The thing that gets me is how he has been able to infiltrate churches with his programs  even when they know, his philosophy and deviations they still embrace him?
Almost as if they have "blinders on".  Could Christ be testing the faithful to see where their true heart and love is?  I have not near the Bible understanding that these churchers have and it is plain to me. Years ago when i first saw PDL at the store I picked it up and felt a strange distaste.  I have come to trust that inner sense and after coming here to WOP I am not surprised on the expose...but I am surprised at how popular it is with the church and many christians  Huh

 amen (((((Sis W)))))

And here is yet Another look into the "Power" of Rick Warren  hypnotized

http://jameshartlinerepor...an-leader-pays-steep.html

The James Hartline Report

Christian Activist James Hartline Loses Well-Known Media Support After Signing Published Letter That Calls On Rick Warren To Stop Allowing Pro-Abortion & Pro-Homosexual Speakers In His Pulpit

(JHReport) A nationally recognized Christian activist has learned firsthand that there is a steep price to pay for speaking out against the moral corruption of one of America's most powerful Protestant ministers. Despite the high cost to himself personally, James Hartline has been willing to expose, what he says, is a disturbing trend of theological and moral compromise coming from the pulpit of Rick Warren, pastor of the 20,000-member Saddleback Church.

Included in Hartline's laundry list of complaints against Pastor Warren is the recent speaking engagement of pro-gay and pro-abortion Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton at Saddleback Church. Hillary Clinton's invitation from Warren to speak at his church followed a speech by Clinton before the radical gay activist group The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) where she told the HRC "she wants a partnership with gays if elected president."

(Read the rest at above link)

I had to add this one!  No Lie!

Quote
"Taking on Saddleback Pastor Rick Warren is the religious equivalent of taking on a mob boss in the Italian Mafia," says Hartline.

My nephew who is a multi-media tech guy had to 'wire' Rick Warren to speak at a Toronto conference last year. His impression was that behind the scenes Warren was a bully to those around him. Certainly not what you would expect from a so-called man of God.

My nephew has stated that he is an atheist and it's unfortunate that Rick Warren's behaviour didn't do anything to help change his mind.

I could definitely see him 'going after' anyone who challenged him. Mob boss indeed!

God bless,

Matt. 7:
15: Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16: Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17: Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18: A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19: Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20: Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22: Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23: And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24: Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26: And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
28: And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
29: For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

My nasty old fleshly mind was reminded of the movie "Real Genius" where they wired a kid's braces for audio.

I just pictured wiring Warren with a bug zapper, and whispering scripture in his ear:

*ZAPP!!!!!!*

"Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand,O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
8: Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
13: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Rick Warren's Church is Teaching The Same Thing As Oprah?

By Brannon s. Howse

Best Selling Christian/New Age Author Leonard Sweet will be speaking for Rick Warren's church this April of 2008.

For those of you who did not think Rick Warren was part of the Emergent Church movement, time to think again.

Leonard Sweet is an Emergent Church, New Age, New Spirituality as you can get.

In his book, Quantum Spirituality, Sweet states:

Quote
The power of small groups is in their ability to develop the discipline to get people "in-phase" with the Christ consciousness and connected with one another.

Here are some more quotes from Leonard Sweets Book Quantum Spirituality:

Quote
“Austrian/American physicist Wolfgang Pauli perceived, are the traceable connections that exist between ourselves and others or objects, and the underlying holism of the uni-verse. Transcendent state of consciousness” (Quantum Spirituality p.234)

“New Light embodiment means to be “in connection” and “in-formation” with other ChristiansThe church is fundamentally one being, one person, a communion whose cells are connected to one another within the information network called the Christ consciousness” (Quantum Spirituality, p. 122).

“Postmodern missions must have a geomantic imagination and geomantic design. What I am calling a geomantic style of evangelization will ensure harmonious habitation patterns as the gospel interconnects and interacts with all life-and landforms. (Quantum Spirituality, p.168)

Read some quotes from Oprah and her New Age Movement friends and compare them to what Leonard Sweet is saying. No difference. Yet, Rick Warren has put his stamp of approval on Leonard's worldview by having him as a keynote speaker at his church.

People can not say we did not warn them about Rick and his friends several years ago.

From Slice of Laodicia Discernment Ministry:

Mr. Warren, the Glory Goes to Christ Alone

Quote
At a wedding the bride is the main character, the center, the start of the show  everyone else is supporting cast, but the glory goes to the bride/ The Bride of Christ  of which the church is its local expression around the world  deserves the focus, the credit and the glory for faithfully serving their communities year after year.
 Rick Warren

Joseph Farah of WorldNetDaily recently posted a column regarding the above statement by Rick Warren. In his column, Farah concludes that the church really does not deserve the glory; all the glory should go to Christ. In his own defense, Mr. Warren responded with a piece that mangled and twisted Scripture something that Warren excells at.

I have never seen a man abuse God's Word so flagrantly. Either Mr. Warren does not understand basic English, let alone Greek and Hebrew, or he has no qualms about twisting God's word to suit his purposes. If a verse does not say what Warren wants it to say, he will dig up a translation or paraphrase that says it in a way that suits him. To him, the Bible is not the sole authority for life and godliness, but it is rather a tool to manipulated and used to achieve his own personal agenda.

In regards to Mr. Warren's desire that the glory be focused on the local church, I am compelled to wonder if he has ever read what Jesus said in Luke 17:7-10:

Quote
"And which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, Come at once and sit down to eat'? But will he not rather say to him, Prepare something for my supper, and gird yourself and serve me till I have eaten and drunk, and afterward you will eat and drink'? Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I think not. So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.'”

It is evident that Rick Warren doesn't consider himself an unprofitable servant, but rather desires glory and thanks for all that he is doing to impact the world. Indeed, Warren unquestionably wields a vast influence, but I assure you he is on his own. God's not in it. God's not in it because He does not share his glory with Saddleback, Rick Warren, or anyone else. God himself said this in Psalm 42:8, “I am the LORD, that is My name; and My glory I will not give to another.” God doesn't change his mind, either.

As believers endeavoring to serve God, we should look for no reward, no glory, and no thanks. God does not smile upon those who are self-seeking and proud. Rather, he gives His grace to the lowly and humble; to those who fear Him and obey Him. “Thus says the LORD: heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest? For all those things My hand has madebut on this one will I look: on him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word.” This is encouraging to those of us who realize that we are nothing, that we are weak, and that we can do nothing of value if God is not in it. God does not need us or our programs, our peace plans, our books, or anything else we have to offer the whole universe belongs to Him. As one a godly man once said, He could raise up rocks to do what we do, and do it better. God forbid that we should desire share in God's glory, as it was for this sin that the devil was cast from heaven. Let us then be content to be nothing, to be unworthy servants, to never be recognized or thanked. Let all our work be to the end that the Lamb may receive the reward of His suffering.

Warren & Hybels have dinner with Gay/Lesbian Parents to Dialog

So What Does Scripture Say?

Rick Warren and Bill Hybels believe it is acceptable to dine and dialogue with professing “Christians* who are in sexual revolt against God's Word. These men are called “loving” because they are going to do such a thing. But what does God's Word say about this?

But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortionernot even to eat with such a person.
For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.
  I Corinthians 5:11-13

So on what basis is it OK to eat with a “Christian” gay group whose express purpose for being at Saddleback, by their own words, is to change the way Christians view sodomy? How is that loving? Does God's Word mean anything at all?

*One of the sponsoring groups of Soul Force's tour is The Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches (UFMCC).

They describe themselves as “an international fellowship of Christian churches with a special ministry to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.” It is America's only homosexual denomination from its inception.

There was actually an interesting turn of events after this was first published.  The article is at Watcher's Lamp, link http://watcherslamp.blogs...-washes-his-hands-of.html .

The article says Rick Warren wrote a misleading response to this, saying this was not true because he and Kay would be out of town for Father's Day.

What he failed to mention, however, was that Saddleback Church would be sponsoring a sit down meal on Monday.  In response to this deception by Warren, Watcher's Lamp has a follow up letter for Pastor Warren, in response to an article at Proud Parenting.com.  It says:

"Dear Pastor Warren,

Are you not ultimately responsible for the activities of Saddleback Church? For Soulforce to attend a service at Saddleback is their choice. . .as it is for any individual in America.

However, setting the table for a sit-down meal for dialogue on Monday is now outside the realm of attending church on Sunday.

From Proud Parenting.com: Gay dads celebrate Father's Day with Rick Warren, author of “The Purpose Driven Life”

This Father's Day, a group of LGBT (ed. note, Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender) and straight-ally families will spend their holiday in a way that is both extraordinary and profoundly commonplace: they will attend services at Saddleback Church, the mega-church founded by Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life.

The following day, the families will join leaders from Saddleback Church for
a private meal and conversation.

You may be out of town this weekend, but as former CEO's have found out the hard way. . .you are still responsible for what goes on at your Church, whether you are physically present or not.

Providing that as an excuse, Pastor Warren, seems out of character for such a man who travels in global circles.

You're certainly going out of your way to make this group feel welcome. Will you or your staff present the scandal of The Cross during this two day event?"

Mmmmm...  interesting indeed!!

Warren seems to be at least part Teflon...  nothing sticks and that may be a real indicator of what his purpose is...  False prophet?  He sure doesn't seem interested in contending for truth.

I'm not ready to hang the FP label on him, but he sure is trying to earn it.

Scary where he is leading many many Christian churches.

Peace,

There is so much about this man that is very troubling.  I personally think he is either the F.P. or a counterfeit John the Baptist.  Right after I found out the truth about Rick Warren, I read the following, which some may be familiar with:

"Alice Bailey believes the Christian church will help bring about the New Age.

The goal of the New Age Movement has consistently been to bring in the Age of Aquarius when all will recognize 'the God within themselves.' A major step towards this in the words of the New Age prophetess Alice Bailey, is 'the regeneration of the churches.' Her vision was that... 'The Christian church in its many branches can serve as a St. John the Baptist, as a voice crying in the wilderness, and as a nucleus through which world illumination may be accomplished.' In a word, she desired the time when the 'Christian churches' would embrace the New Age concepts of illumination and self-realization. The New Age plan to bring in world peace cannot fully establish the Golden Age of Aquarius until Biblical Christianity is outlawed or destroyed." Richard Bennett, Can Mysticism Lead to God

I have a couple of interesting quotes of Rick Warren's.

From the free on-line book In the Name of Purpose, Ch. 18, link http://inthenameofpurpose.org/chp18.htm , we read:

“Incidentally, Rick Warren has said, “Because I had been raised in a Christian home, I rejected it all, and I decided to study the religions of the world. I actually moved to Japan, and I studied Buddhism, Shintoism, Hinduism. I studied all the religions of the world.”12 Then he should know that religions aren't just a “different way to get to God,” they follow different gods!”

12. As quoted in Discussion “Myths of the Modern Mega-Church,” May 23, 2005, the Pew Forum's biannual Faith Angle conference on religion, politics and public life, Event Transcript, http://pewforum.org/events/index.php?EventID=80 ."

I have read this very long, eye opening Pew Forum transcript.  By the way, this was a secular group he was speaking to, not the church.

Also from Ch. 18:

"I'm not talking about a religion this morning.  Okay?  You may be Catholic or Protestant or Buddhist or Baptist or Muslim or Mormon or Jewish or Jain, or you have no religion at all.  I'm not interested in your religious background.  Because God did not create the universe for us to have religion.  He came for us to have a relationship with him."5

5.  U.N. Interfaith Prayer Breakfast, 9/05

I think satan has somewhat desensitized all of us to the above statement.  I know I have heard the last sentence used in church.  Sure, he wants to have a relationship with us.  But only true Christianity reveals Jesus as the only way.

By the way, did I mention I am rather obsessed with this man?

The New Age plan to bring in world peace cannot fully establish the Golden Age of Aquarius until Biblical Christianity is outlawed or destroyed."

Rick Warren and the Emerging Church have already deconstructed and destroyed Christianity.  The AOC will be used to outlaw it.

According to Tony Blair, the definition of “religious extremism”, which the Faith Foundation will combat, is “people who want to exclude the other if someone is of a different faith. There are elements of extremism in every major faith.”

What they really mean is “religious extremists” are those who hold to a fundamentalist, fear-filled ideology.  On page 11 of the U.N.'s AOC, it says:

“It was expressed that in both civilizations, the ideology of fear was fostered by extremists, Islamic as well as Christian, so that one of the main threats consisted not in Islam or Christianity, but in the dangers inherent to religious fundamentalism in general, which countering must be the main aim of an Alliance of Civilizations.”

Here is how Rick Warren explained it.  On Larry King Live, 12/2/05, almost half way down the page, http://transcripts.cnn.co...RIPTS/0512/02/lkl.01.html , we read:

“KING: Before we talk about Rick Warren's peace plan are you a fundamentalist?

WARREN: No. Actually, many journalists misunderstand the religious right is not a fundamentalist and a fundamentalist is not an evangelical. There are all kinds of fundamentalists, Larry, and they're all based on fear. There are Christian fundamentalists. There are Muslim...

KING: Watch out or I'll get you.

WARREN: Yes. There are Muslim fundamentalists. I've met some Jewish fundamentalists.

KING: You bet.”

According to the AOC Concept Paper, http://www.unaoc.org/repository/concept_paper.pdf , two of the stated goals of the AOC are:

"[T]o counter the influence of those who feed on exclusion and claim sole ownership of the truth;

[T]o counter, through such measures, the threat to world peace and stability that emanates from the trend toward extremism in societies;"

The demonic spirit realm has identified this exact thing as the necessity for outlawing and eliminating all hindrances.  From “The New Age Ark of Oneness”, pages 18 and 39, www.inthenameofpurpose.org/arkofoneness.pdf , the seducing spirit that calls itself Djwhal Khul says:

"“Nothing can prevent the new world religion from eventually emerging. It will be hindered by the fundamentalists, the narrow-minded and the theologians in all the world religions, by those who refuse to let go the old interpretations and methods, who love the old doctrines

“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” (Revelation 12:17)

“And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.” (Revelation 13:7)

Therefore we can look for the new laws, governing soul life, which is group life, to begin to function and make their presence felt. This will at first increase the world difficulty; hence the need to make the meaning of these laws clear, their objectives simple and their potencies understandable.”

"This will necessarily involve a pledging of the entire personality to the helping of humanity  I mean the attaining of an attitude wherein the aspirant desires nothing for the separated self, and in which he regards all that he has as something which he can lay upon the altar of sacrifice for the aiding of his brethren. United group effort would eventuate in an inspired reorganization of the entire world, and the elimination of hindrances; there would be the making of real sacrifices and the giving up of personal wishes and desires in order that group purposes may be served.”

This will result in a world crisis that involves making the paradigm shift to the “Christ-consciousness”.  On page 40, we read:

“This world crisis  will, it is hoped, awaken men to the realization that the form side of manifestation, with its aggressive selfishness, its cruel emphases and its separative tendencies, carries inevitably with it the seeds of its own eventual elimination  [T]he whole aim of the present crisis is to shift the focus of human awareness out of the form and the material aspect of living, into the consciousness of the soul, and to do this at any cost to the hindering forms.”

“The laws and modes of procedure which are characteristic of the New Age must supersede the old, and these will, in time, institute the new social order and the more inclusive regime.

"[T]he objective of the new social order, of the new politics and the new religion is to bring about the unfoldment of the human consciousness, to institute and bring to men's attention the higher values, and to end the reign of materialism.”

The seducing spirit that calls itself “God, pg. 41, confirms this:

“And so, there will be chaos, created largely by those who do not want to make the shift, who cannot accept the end of better' and The New Gospel of Oneness.”

Romans 15:5-7 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God
