I know this is the wrong thread, but has anyone heard qwake 215 yet???  Man that is a killer qwake session.  Tons to think about.  I didn't know that angels had a salvation study group.  That's really cool.  And I think that only a man from Kentucky could describe the theory of relativity as "bonefied" er  ... how do you spell that???

An Investigation of The Origins of satan's Rebellion, and Future Resolution - Part I

Show # 215

Podcast

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX         PRESS RELEASE       XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

28 JUNE 2010

WRITINGS OF PROF. ROBERT LUGINBILL REVEAL THE ORIGINS OF satan’S REBELLION AND HIS FUTURE DEMISE, ON THE 28 JUNE – 2 JULY 2010 “FUTURE QUAKE” RADIO PROGRAMS

Nashville, TN – Professor Robert Luginbill’s work “The Satanic Rebellion: Background To The Tribulation” (www.ichthys.com/Satanic-Rebellion-Home-Page), reveals little-known facts from the Biblical record of satan’s ancient reign, motivations and eventual rebellion, to explain the nature of God’s future cosmic resolution, with host “Doctor Future” and co-host Tom Bionic, airing daily during the week of 28 June on the “Future Quake” program, broadcast on the Christian talk radio station WENO, 760 AM in Nashville, TN (and archived at http://www.futurequake.com).  Luginbill is an Associate Professor of Classics in the Department of Classical and Modern Languages at the University of Louisville (recognized as a “Distinguished Teaching Professor” for 2008-2010 by their College of Arts and Sciences), with his prior range of credentials including a doctorate degree in Classics, a graduate degree in Hebrew Old Testament from Talbot Theological Seminary, and service as a Captain with the U.S. Marine Corps.  His “Ichthys” website contains a range of intensive, well-referenced Bible-related writings and teaching materials, including subjects such as “Peter”, “Special Topics and Exodus”, and most intriguingly, the “Coming Tribulation” teaching series, and the “Satanic Rebellion” series, which is intended to be an introductory precursor to the “Tribulation” content.  These teaching series are extensively footnoted and referenced, including his personal translations from the original Greek and Hebrew texts.  Although Dr. Luginbill was not available to participate in the discussion of his online teachings, “Future Quake” hosts Doctor Future and Tom Bionic conduct this Part I installment of this radio series, by reading on air and discussing Part I of his “Satanic Rebellion”, and exploring this compelling material of the murky past activities of satan and the angelic host in ancient pre-history, and the ramifications of his assertions of their motives on the future resolution of the rebellion, and the fallen state of the cosmos.  The material discussed includes a clarification of the powers, origins and natures of the supernatural beings created by God, including the unique nature of their decision making capabilities (as a result of their immortal state and intelligence) and its effect on their inability to seek redemption once in a “fallen” state, and their innate desire to seek physical bodies, to experience the “pleasures” of sensory feedback we humans take for granted.  His assertions concerning the free will available to both angels and humans (and the ability for humans to “change their minds” as they become privy to additional data), the schemes of satan to lead a rebellion that would be immune to God’s judgment, and his errors in assessing the fullness of God’s wisdom and nature as expressed in a redemptive scheme for mankind that even “the angels desire to look in to”, makes for a thought-provoking discussion through the revelations of Scripture, in a journey that begins with this show.

“Future Quake”, hosted by “Doctor Future”, is a daily Christian interview and news review radio program, focusing on issues and events that will soon impact our collective futures.  It features interviews with international experts on the topics covered (such as recent guests Alvin Toffler, Judge Andrew Napolitano, Alex Jones, Joseph Farah, Chuck Baldwin and Dr. Jerome Corsi), with constructive, intellectual discussions intended to better inform the public and provide useful information to prepare for the days ahead.  It airs each weekday at 4 PM on WENO, 760 AM in Nashville, TN, the most popular Christian talk station in Middle Tennessee, and extending into much of the Mid-South.  For those that miss the live broadcast, prior shows are archived in .mp3 format for listening on demand at http://www.futurequake.com, or available as a podcast (under “future quake”) at I-Tunes (www.itunes.com).

Another great show Doc. and Tom, just a smorgasbord for thought.

I want to learn what I can about the angelic realm as when the black awaking occurs their lieing signs and wonders must be exposed. I found the book of Enoch which was in the early church bibles a most intriguing study on angels. It is also a rapid fire Genesis to Revelation biblical account. Enoch would be great subject matter for a future show.

Keep up the great work and may God bless you and your ministry.

They did do a show about the book of Enoch....sort of.  We had a wild session here during the following week.  Some of us are still picking the tomato seeds out of our hair.

Anyways. I listened to this show like 3 times and I am going to have to listen a few more.  Stuff was flying past me while I was pondering the last thing said.  It's a deep quake.  This is the kind of qwake that I came up with.  I'll bet though that Alex Jones crippled step sister felt like nobody was playing in the playground this week though.

I like that part where the good doctor said that any type of dogmatic stance on a particular thing becomes an object of worship.  I am not too dogmatic unless you wanna axe me who Jesus is, then I get real dogmatic.  I guess the good doctor would say that since we are dogmatic that Jesus has become an object of worship.  Maybe we should urge some caution there cuz....oh, wait a minute....nevermind.

Gosh Johnny, you use the "dogmatic" quote like a warning, what ever was on your mind? But dogmatic and fringe are kind of contrary.

I read over Professor Luginbill's writings and am not in agreement with several of his conclusions which have inconsistencies. But overall his work is detailed and interesting. Thank you Doc and Tom for another thought provoking show.

But I don't want to be dogmatic, for sure! What difference does it make. People are going to believe what they want to anyways, even when it strays from what God clearly says. ooops..there goes my dogma again  Tongue

LOL, when I get to heaven I can not wait to ask God about........

I want to add with consideration and respect for sincere brethren who have given such deep and scholarly thought to the study of angels but I can not find anywhere in the Bible that tells us with certainty when satan fell originally. Perhaps our Father did not give us this information for a reason...still it leaves much room for speculation. One statement I agree with is "that trying to determine when God created the angels is somewhat tricky because anything God did “before the foundation of the world” puts the event outside of time itself. Time and space are characteristics of our world, not God’s."

The Lord said to Job:
38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

I think Job must have been very humbled by what God said to him in this chapter. For sure I am.

In my younger days I was fascinated and deceived by bad angels masquerading as good angels. Brought up in the Lutheran church, as well as a Lukewarm Christian in my younger years I was easy pickings for deception.
There really is a lot of bad information out there about them. During that time when I began to question all the angel talk around me, I had a dream like vision of a very big silver white haired frightening looking angel (no wings) riding on a white horse dressed as a warrior. In the vision he stopped right outside the front yard of my house and stared right through the walls at me in the most piercing stare...then rode off. I wonder to this day that he was protecting me because at the time Jesus was shattering the illusions and false teachings that I was studying. My heart about stopped at that stare...I can still see it as clear as day in my mind.

The way I see it is that only God was there before the beginning, he made the beginning when He created the heaven and the earth. He made the angels at the beginning just after He made heaven but before He made the earth, they witnessed Him making the foundations of the earth. satan fell after the 6 days of creation because everything God had made (including the angels) was very good. Genesis is a summary of events, Adam and Eve could have been in the garden for a 100 years till satan tempted them causing them to sin and thus causing his fall. satan wouldnt have fallen on the 7th day because he had no reason to rebel, it would have taken months or years for him to turn sour seeing Adam and Eve getting all the attention that he wanted, jealousy probably.

Still havent heard this Quake Show, cant wait till I do  Grin

I don't know wait.  From what I gather, satan was a pretty wonderful guy in the beginning.  He didn't go bad till later, and not because he was bad, but because of a bad choice?  I don't know.  That's just what I am tossing around in my head.

Yeah, Rose.  Dogmatic is good if you are preaching Jesus as we know him, but bad if you are talking about stuff we don't really understand too much, like angels.  Man, that vision you had just blows my mind!  I will be thinking about that all day and thinking hard about it.  I am gonna hit you back on that one.  I like it when you tell us these accounts.  I wanna hear more stuff like that from you.  That's really cool.  And valuable I think.

I know Fringe..... Maybe that's a bad keyword for the show.  I sure have tossed that one around in my head.  Deleted it and then put it back and so on.  I still can't decide.

He didn't go bad till later,
Yep I agree, as I said at the end of the 6 days everything including the angels and satan was all very good

Jealousy is bad, I read some text somewhere that says he became more and more jealous and then turned angry. It was a long process of growing more and more bad, it wasnt a one off accidental choice.

If anyone is looking for more information on topic, may I suggest:

Dr. Fruchtenbaum of Ariel Ministries.

The series is a bit long on audio..but well worth it and detailed by scripture. Scroll down to angels, satan, and demons.

Hey Arnold Fruchtenbaum was a big hero of Peter Goodgames.  In fact that's how it all started with Pete.  He had been in his old party daze and was coming to the end of himself when he stumbled upon an old beat-up paperback copy of one of Fruchtenbaum's books.  And the rest is history.

Bill Salas did an interview with Fruchtenbaum recently.  I will try to dig it up and post it here.
