"..so shall the coming of the Son of Man be..."

« on: October 09, 2009, 07:03:53 AM »

Pardon me, but I predicted this to my wife several weeks ago...  "Mark my words," I said, "He's gonna win it for doing nothing.  They'll use it to boost his global image."

I hoped I was wrong, but my wife called me this morning to say, "Guess who won the Nobel Peace Prize?"  I answered, "Please, NO!" as my heart skipped a beat....

Frankly, this scares the hell out of me!!

Obama wins 2009 Nobel Peace Prize

The Nobel committee said they wanted to support Mr Obama's approach

US President Barack Obama has been awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.

The Nobel Committee said he won it for "his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and co-operation between peoples".

The committee highlighted Mr Obama's efforts to support international bodies and promote nuclear disarmament.

Mr Obama's spokesman said the president was "humbled" to have won the prize. He said he woke Mr Obama up when he called with the news early on Friday.

There were a record 205 nominations for this year's peace prize. Zimbabwean Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai and Chinese dissident Hu Jia had been among the favourites.

The laureate - chosen by a five-member committee - wins a gold medal, a diploma and 10m Swedish kronor ($1.4m).

Obama rewarded for world view

"Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future," the Norwegian committee said in a statement.

Not looking good for the home team!!

I'll post more later after having time to read and digest the whole story.

Thoughts?

Peace in Christ, the REAL Christ, alone!

I think I have a better claim to the Nobel prize than he does, I mean I brought peace to my bowells by using the toilet this morning, which I think I can all agree with myself is a lot more tangible (and fragrant) than any "peace" the POTUS has wrought....He didn't do anything!!

Really crazy and incomprehensible from my view. Has any man risen so fast on the world stage and with such popularity!

The world has picked their president of peace. How might this accolade affect the man Barack and the future decisions he will make as president.

Another consideration.

In the beginning of Hitlers rise to power, it was the common policy and delusion of the nations leaders to have talks and ignore the virulent signs and symptoms that he was.
Obama certainly appears to be following suit. Will his "elevated steps" to peace ignore the world leader coming who makes Hitler look like dennis the menace?

I'm still thinking the Pres is a pre-cursor, but we've certainly got an eye on him...

Hmmm...  been pondering...  Had a long drive to stew and think.  Then I made the near fatal mistake of tuning in NPR just to hear the Left.  Most callers actually think this is a good thing!   frustrated

I don't know if he is 'The One', time will tell.  There are some amazing connections to prophecy, however we've seen many of those twisted or some how connected to a plethora of other people.

A couple assumptions I do think we can make:

-  Clearly someone has his back and has MUCH larger designs for him.  If he moves at the rate he has been moving, they will somehow get him to President of the World before he can significantly botch his current job...

- Because of that, I am inclined to believe we'll see a significant improvement in the economy as well as some other 'wonders.'  The string pullers will make him look golden if they truly want the world to accept him.

- Despite a real cooling toward him by both the Left and the Right (yep, too many blinded crossover voters...), the WORLD thinks he walks on water.

- Solana has really been trying to solve the Israel Peace thing...  It is probable that Obama will shortly insert himself in that situation and 'solve' it.  Watch and see.

And a few thoughts...

What if there is an assassination attempt that he 'dies' and is 'raised from'??

If he is a precursor, the next guy to ascend will do so in record time with some incredible stuff said about him....  Possible, but almost makes one wonder how gullible the people are!

There are some BIG dates in 2010...  are we being set up for those?

Sarkozy and Solana are still big players, but their stars appear to have lost a bit of the sheen...  Is attention being shifted to O to fill that void?  Were they just setup men for O?

Lots of questions and ponderings...  The whole thing is a bit bizarre.

Peace,

Pete

Love the WOP Toilet Bowl Award......can truly make one feel "flushed" with success.... Wink

My initial reaction to POTUS winning the Nobel for Peace, was "What has he done??"

It is as if there is a supernatural force propelling Obama into ever higher positions of power and influence, which we know that this is the way the AC will be propelled into world domination.

Reminds me of Betty Davis' saying, "Hold on to your hats folks, its going to be a bumpy ride!!"

Amazing times in which we live. Praise God for His Amazing Grace!!!

It defies the imagination to find just what this character has done to deserve all the praise that has been heaped upon him.
