Was searching 'ferro-cement' as a cheap, sturdy and semi-natural (adobe) looking way of building a small structure... Not only found this VERY interesting and within the grasp of someone with ten thumbs, but also uses materials that will be available even in a rotten economy!
Int he process I stumbled upon a website that has tons of neat DIY simple projects that most 'survival' situations would benefit from! :
http://www.y2knorth.com/homebrew.htmlCheck the 'ferro-cement' link as well as a few other links here for more on that topic, but I wanted to share the main site!
http://www.green-trust.or...3/ferrocement/default.htmAlso!! This is very interesting, but will not work for me as I do not have access to water with enough fall, but if someone on here is located near a stream with some fall to it.... FREE power with this little device! I can think of 100 uses including a small generator!
http://www.watermotor.net/indexflash.htm Read that site! Looks simple enough to make multiples after reverse engineering the original.... The pics are almost enough that in a jamb I could fabricate one given the right environment to implement... Even the base of a nice dam... (CT?)
Thoughts?
Peace,
Pete
